Wau Festival

Wau bulan is traditionally flown in the Malaysia state of Kelantan.Wau bulan literally means Moon kite because the shape of its tail looks like a  crescent moon.Wau bulan have symbols which is Malaysia's symbolize the tail of all Malaysian airplanes flown by Malaysia Airlines System(MAS). Wau have a various buzzing and purring sounds when it's have fly in the sky.

The material of Wau bulan is bamboo used for the frame, The floral  design of Wau is make by rice-paper and glued on piece by piece. In Malaysia there was a lot of design of Wau bulan. for the example Cat kite (Wau kucing),Eagle kite(Wau helang) and peacock kite(wau merak). each wau have a different design and size.

In Kelantan, wau bulan's festival often held in Pantai Sri Tujuh. They was a lof of type of wau will be display on the festival. This can attracted outside tourist to know more about malay's culture. In the festival they will also have a lot of competition for person who have make creative wau bulan. If you are free, you can join the festival because you can know more and see the traditional moon kites of kelantan. The volunteer also will teach us how to fly the wau well. In the festivaal they will have a food festivaal and malay cultural event. 

Wau bulan is the Malay cultures, its have a lot of historical. I hope The Malaysian will perpetuate this culture.
