wayang kulit festival

An Wayang kulit (shadow puppets) have been found from Indonesia.In Malaysia, Kelantan,kedah and terengganu was famous with traditional Wayang Kulit. Wayang kulit is the art of the Malaysia.This 27 December 2020 Kelantan will make a festival of Wayang kulit. On  Wayang Kulit festival that will be a lot of exhibition of Wayang Kulit and Wayang kulit history will be tell on the festival. Wayang Kulit  was absorbed by the local culture by changing the appearance of the characters to resemble cultural.  In the early year, Wayang kulit is a traditional indonesian art that developed at Java Island. Wayang means from the word 'Ma Hyang' which means spiritual spirit, god and shadow while kulit means skin cow or goat skin from that puppets are made from. The first time who was a puppeteer is Galigi. The Malaysia's wayang kulit version mostly have involved Thai version. The most history will be share on the days of festival!

Wayang Kulit interpreted as a 'shadow' because the audience can watch the shadow puppets from  the white screen and spotlight electric light. The puppet of Wayang kulit are make by buffalo hide and mounted on bamboo sticks. On festival that was different  Puppet will be established on the wall. Wayang Kulit will play by the puppeteer with the dialogue that have act as  voice of puppet characters, music and song by the singer. 

The Wayang kulit have a traditional theatre that brings together the art design of puppets show, this can let us feel traditional art and feeling. Except Wayang kulit kelantan that was a lot of wayang kulit which is Wayang Palembang, Wayang ukur, Wayang kulit Gedek etc. You can know more about the Wayang kulit in the festival.
